The Bible tells us in the book of Genesis 2:24 that, Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh. God created marriage as a union between a man and a woman to be a lifelong partnership of love, faithfulness, and companionship. The Bible presents marriage as honorable and a foundation for human life, symbolizing the relationship between Christ and the Church.
