The Conviction Of The Holy Spirit

Image
The conviction Of The Holy Spirit The conviction of the Holy Spirit is a powerful and essential aspect of the Christian life. It is the gentle nudge that guides us towards righteousness, revealing areas of our lives that need change and encourages us to live in alignment with God's will. It leads us to repentance and salvation by revealing to us the truth about sin, righteousness and judgment. For the unbelievers it is the process that exposes their sins, God's righteousness and the coming judgment. For those who believe it is the process of spiritual growth where the Holy Spirit continues to convict you of your sins to encourage righteousness and conformity to Christ. It is not like condemnation which leads to hopelessness and shame but conviction leads to repentance and restoration. In the Bible, conviction is a way of guidance by the Holy Spirit that makes an individual aware of their sins and its consequences. It is the spiritual awarenes...

Being Obedient To God's Calling

Image
Being Obedient To God's Calling What is obedience? and how can we be obedient to God's calling, this is a question that many of us believers in Christ oftenly ask ourselves. Being obedient to God's calling is aligning our will with God's will by willingly responding to God's instructions and acting according to God's purposes. Obedience is demonstrating your faith and love for God just as Abraham demonstrated his obedience and faith in God when he left his homeland, believing in God's promise of a son and when he obeyed God's instruction to sacrifice his son Isaac. The Bible explains Abraham's obedience to God in the book of Hebrews 11:8 which states that, 8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place which he was to receive as an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was to go. Moses also showed his obedience to God when he responded to God's calling at the burning bush and obeyed God...

Repentance And Living A Holy Life

Image
Repentance And Living A Holy Life What does the Bible tell us about repentance and living a holy life? The Bible describes to us that repentance is a sincere change of heart and mind, including the sorrow for our sins and turning away from our sins and committing ourselves to living a holy life that is pleasing in the sight of God. Repentance requires you to have both remorse for sin and deciding to live a new changed life under the guidance of God. It is not just a feeling of sorrow but making a decision to change your direction and behaviors. Repentance is a turning around of following God's path of obedience instead of rebellion. In the book of 2 Corinthians 7:10 it says that, 10 For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. Living a holy life is simply dedicating yourself to God, being obedient to God's word and reflecting God's character by simply separating yourself from t...

God's Healing Power

Image
God's Healing Power I believe that God is a healer who heals and restores physical, spiritual and mental well being through faith, prayer and divine intervention. Faith: Faith is Trusting and believing in God and his promises, it's not just as a feeling but as a profound conviction and the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, as it is written in the book of Hebrews 11:1-3 that says, Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the men of old received divine approval. 3 By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made out of things which do not appear. Prayer: Prayer is an act of communicating with God, surrounding a conversation of speaking and listening that includes praise, confession, thanksgiving, and asking for needs. It is an act of worship that promotes a deeper relationship with God and involves expressing humility,...
